Despite the apparently obvious connector to the Elton John important from Maniac Across the Water (and more late Most Famous celebrity), Tiny Dancers leader David Kay claims in interviews that the pres Young quintet from West Yorkshire is actually named later a faction of evil dwarves in Roger Corman's 1964 adaptation of The Masque of the Red Death. In a standardized kind of misdirection, although the band is based in the short articulatio coxae U.K. metropolis of Sheffield, Tiny Dancers have small in vernacular musically with Yorkshire compatriots like the Arctic Monkeys and the Kaiser Chiefs. Instead, their mostly acoustic, low-keyed pop is intemperately informed by the likes of the Band, postPet Sounds Beach Boys, Love, and Harvestingera Neil Young. More late acts of the Apostles like the Bees, Cat Power, and the Magic Numbers as well come to einstein. Tiny Dancers formed in 2005 spell their members were attention university: singer and acoustic guitarist Kay, jumper cable guitarist Chris Etherington, and drummer Duncan Morrison were schooltime friends world Health Organization had lost their previous band's bassist and independent ballad maker. With Kay pickings over basal songwriting duties, the addition of bassist Dale Wathey and multi-instrumentalist David Glover realised the new christened Tiny Dancers. The band was virtually immediately signed to EMI's Parlophone label in early 2006, just its kickoff iI limited version vinyl singles, "Balefire of the Night" and "Hannah We Know," were released on the simulated indie Russian Doll label. The Lions and Tigers and Lions EP was released on Parlophone in late 2006, followed by the U.K. Top 40 singles "I Will Wait for You" and a newfangled recording of "Hannah We Know." Tiny Dancers' debut album, Free School Milk, was released in the summer of 2007.
